Toyota Direct

Toyota Direct had a multitude of changes they wanted to make to their Sales and Service spaces located in Columbus just east of Interstate 270. With goals for big renovations and an addition to the facility on the schedule, they turned to Renier in 2023 to get things started.

Toyota Direct had moved the pre-owned cars section of their business into the Service building. However, with few service bays available and a rapidly growing business, Renier was contracted to erect a brand new PEMB addition. The adjacent body shop behind the older building was cleared out and prepped to be part of the new building, which provided a great deal more space. After refreshing existing bays and adding multiple new bays, Toyota Direct now services over 250 cars a day!

At nearly 80,000 square feet of total renovated and added space, it was paramount that everything was at its absolute best. The restrooms, service area, customer lounge, tech restrooms, parts lift, and service shop all received renovations and upgrades. Air conditioning was added to the shops and service buildings as well. The final design features the ability to walk from one building to the next without having to exit or go outdoors, allowing for complete sales-to-service connectivity in one building.

Collaboration between Renier and the client ensured service & sales were both completely operational during the entire project. The project was phased into portions, which kept things moving so that construction didn’t interfere with regular business.

Despite a brief slowdown when the storm system needed to be redesigned, this project was finished in September 2024 swiftly, efficiently, and with Integrity.
