Great Lakes Hyundai of Columbus

Big changes were needed to give Great Lakes Hyundai of Columbus a suitable brand refresh within their current building. The facility hadn’t changed in nearly twenty years which meant there were a lot of improvements needed to bring the building up to code. With multiple items on the docket and lots to tackle, Renier dove right in.

Renier used the building next door (also owned by Great Lakes Hyundai of Columbus) to put in a retaining wall to make the proper facility additions. This required constant flexibility and shuffling of resources, pushing Renier to work at their absolute best. The shops were cleaned up and renovated, an entirely new reception was added, the previous reception area was repurposed into vehicle delivery, the service drive received another 2,262 square feet to build it out, and the showroom was dramatically expanded and redone. Throughout all of the changes, Renier was able to work together with the Great Lakes Hyundai of Columbus team to keep business operating as usual.

Maintaining the 10-month schedule allotted to the refresh proved to be a challenge as supply chain issues persisted and permits were delayed. Despite this, the project was delivered on time and on budget, and the almost 35,000-square-foot facility now looks clean, updated, and ready for many more years of service.
