We’re Growing to Better Serve Our Clients
Please welcome the following new employees to team Renier:
As a member of Renier’s estimating team, Joseph Rice works as a Design-Build estimator on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects. He is responsible for finding qualified subcontractors for each project and then working with the design team, the subcontractors, and the client to develop cost proposals and budgets for the project. He guides the budget throughout the design phase until project completion.
Rice started his Renier career in 2018 as a part of the RSI Metal Building Services team where he enhanced his field operations knowledge as a member of the Steel Erection Team. He also has previous experience working with a residential contractor. His background in the field gives him a hands-on perspective for cost estimation in all facets of the construction process and augments his wide-ranging skillset.
A graduate of the Columbus State Community College Construction Management program, Rice is also a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators, Columbus Young Professionals, as well as The Shamrock Club of Columbus.
He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time fishing, hunting, hiking, camping or bird watching as a member of The Audubon Society. Rice also volunteers with local stream and waterway cleanups and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
Matt Arnold recently joined Team Renier as a Project Superintendent and is currently working on the Horsepower Farms project. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge as he has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
He manages the entire project from the “on-site” perspective. This includes ensuring the project is built to design and client expectations, maintaining a clean and safe jobsite at all times, overseeing all subcontractors and their performance at the site, and delivering a complete project so the owner is more than satisfied at completion.
Matt has the distinct honor of being the first person to complete the Builders Exchange Certified Superintendent Program. He also has taken the OSHA 30 hour course seven times to make certain he is current on all safety requirements. Matt attended Capital University in Columbus, OH and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health & Fitness Management.
When not managing the job site, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife of nearly 25 years, Stephanie (in the same neighborhood in Westerville, OH that they both grew up in!), and their children, Tyler – a rising soccer star, and Mackenzie who is interested in a career as a Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, he enjoys spending time fishing with his son, and rescuing both dogs and cats with his family. Matt is also involved with Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organizations.
We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Brady Thomas to Team Renier! Brady joined Renier in April as a Project Superintendent, bringing 26 years of construction experience with him. As a Superintendent, he is the first point of contact on the jobsite working directly with the subcontractors to ensure the project budget and timeline are maintained – as well as a clean & safe working environment. He is involved with the project from early on, and is a part of not only the daily jobsite work, but the weekly meetings with the owners and entire project team -- all a part of remaining not only on-time but at or under budget!
After watching his daughters graduate from college, he decided to return to college to finish his Construction Management degree, which he did in 2020 graduating from Columbus State Community College. His academic performance earned him admission into the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Brady holds an OSHA 30 HR certification and is also certified for concrete field testing with the American Concrete Institute.
Prior to joining Renier, Brady worked on assignments all over the United States ranging from large commercial projects to schools to multi-family residential projects.
In his free time, Brady can often be found spending time with his two daughters (a teacher and a design engineer) enjoying the outdoors with hiking in the Hocking Hills, exploring new dog parks, at the gym, or just about anything new. Or watching Ohio State football! He also is an avid runner and you’ll likely find him participating in just about any 5 or 10K around, including the Komen Race for the Cure. Brady grew up in Clintonville and attended Bishop Watterson High School, lived in Phoenix for several years, and currently lives in Worthington, OH.
We also welcome Michael McDanel to Team Renier! Keep an eye out for the next newsletter for a bit of information about him.
Gabriel De Los Reyes
Gabriel De Los Reyes joined the Renier team in April of this year as a Project Engineer. He is currently working on the Dayton Freight facility in Elkhart, IN. As a Project Engineer, Gabe provides comprehensive support to both the Project Manager and Project Superintendent throughout the entire project – from the first shovel to project completion. He maintains updated construction documents, assists in scheduling and project schedule updates, and conducts weekly meetings with the project subcontractors.
Gabe brings a fresh perspective and an excellent background to the team with both his education and experience. He received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University and has already spent 5 years working in the construction industry with his co-op programs and post-graduation job experience. He worked as an Assistant Foremen for 2 years on a major infrastructure project in northwest Ohio. He holds AIC Certification and has his OSHA 30 hour training completed.
Additionally, he serves as a member of the Student Construction Management Association.
When he’s not working, Gabe is likely to be found volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity project, or coaching basketball at his former high school. Gabe enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and enjoying a game of basketball. He currently lives in Columbus, Ohio.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Headquarters Site Work
We are excited to share our progress on the RLL project! We're prepping the site by adding lime to make it easier to work with, it also helps dry it out and ensure the stability of the structure once we're complete. You'll see us dumping lime onto the soil, tilling the lime into the soil, and then rolling it to smooth it out. After that is complete, we grade the ground with a dozer and then smooth it out once more for further work. Stay tuned - more to come!
