Jameson’s Wish
When Renier gets a chance to give back to the community, we do everything we can to contribute. In April, we were able to unveil a very special project for a very special young man.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation had a unique request from Jameson Colley, who has been battling leukemia since December of 2019. If you aren’t familiar with Make-A-Wish, they are a non-profit organization that grants “wishes” to children with critical illnesses. The foundation does all it can to provide these children with wishes that inspire hope, courage, and the strength to continue fighting.
Though initially, Jameson had hoped for a trip out west with his family, COVID-19 prevented traveling. Jameson decided on a new “wish” that represented both his dedication to his community as well as his passion for his favorite sport – baseball.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation, together with Renier, constructed Jameson’s wish for a set of batting cages for the community and school baseball program to share together. These were placed alongside Worthington Christian School’s Mike Penn Baseball Field and unveiled on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. We are honored to have been part of Jameson’s wish, and hope it brings the community together for many years to come! |
