Renier Trap Shooting Team Targets a Great Cause and Helps Raise Over $50,000 for Boy Scouts

Four years in a row, the Renier Trap Team took top honors for their competitive skill at the 9th Annual Clay Target Classic, benefiting the Boys Scouts of America Simon Kenton Council.

First-time shooters to seasoned pros participated in the competition knowing their involvement would raise funds to assist in delivering the Scouting program to more than 22,000 youth. Thirteen five-member trap teams, and thirteen five-member sporting clay teams competed. This year’s event raised over $50,000.

The fundraiser was held at the Black Wing Shooting Center in Delaware, Ohio. The Renier team is pictured after the event with the winning trophy. From left to right: Bill Crawford, Suzette Crawford, Neal Bronder, Don Grant, and Dan Stanley.

The Simon Kenton Council, one of the largest Boy Scout councils in the nation serves 17 counties in central and southern Ohio, and Greenup County in northern Kentucky.
