Renier Construction Breaks Ground on Byers Kia Service Center Expansion
Renier Construction broke ground recently on the expansion of the Byers Kia facility on Columbus Pike near Lewis Center. The 7,500-square-foot building addition will provide space for additional service bays, a new vehicle preparation area, expanded exterior new-vehicle display space and additional parking.
Mike MacKay, project executive of Renier Construction, said, “Renier is pleased to partner with the Byers organization for the design and construction of facilities that support their expanding vehicle sales and service.”
Increased sales of Kia vehicles have resulted in increased demand for Kia services such as routine maintenance and repairs. For 2009, Kia Motors recorded its 15th consecutive year of increased U.S. market share and recently achieved its best quarter of sales ever.
Renier will complete work on the Kia expansion project by October 15, 2010. Byers Kia’s service is temporarily relocated to the Byers’ dealership at 1599 Columbus Pike, Delaware.
Renier Construction recently completed the renovation and expansion of Byers’ Toyota dealership in Delaware.
