A Fresh Office for a Fresh Take on Medicine
When Doctor Adetoro faced construction headaches, he called in a team of highly recommended specialists. As prescribed, he took two aspirin and called us in the morning. Watch the team's reenactment of this recommendation in a skit at the close of this newsletter.
Renier recently helped Doctor Adetoro prepare space in Westerville for IntervalMed’s second location which will now serve as the main campus. The newest office is approximately 2,700 square feet and took about 60 days of actual construction time.
Renier finished out the office space, including three exam rooms, an employee lunch room, a call center and a conference room for patient meetings regarding concierge care. During the buildout, the team hit an unexpected hiccup. The building needed two HVAC systems and that wasn’t something that had been planned for – even still, Renier held to their project plan and budget and came in under the projected number. Doctor Adetoro said, “After I saw what had been done, I wasn’t concerned. I knew in the end, I was going to get the best. A great product.”
“I found Renier Construction while I was looking for a good construction company in the medical space. I saw their website, the work they had done – it was remarkable. Within 24 hours of me reaching out, I was contacted. I was impressed. Renier was on point from the beginning.
We met often and the team was accessible at all times. Responsive down to a 30-minute window and this was consistent. Aside from communication, coordination was also notable. We had all of the team players in the first meeting, immediately. Onsite, the first visit. They were all there. Renier coordinated extremely well with the architect and city of Westerville to ensure we had necessary permits and could start the build.
The construction took 60 days – it was extraordinary. The finished space is exactly what we were expecting. It’s beautiful. And if anyone asks what I think about Renier I say, “Absolutely!! Use them!”

|Cascade Auto Group – Audi Service Center in Cuyahoga Falls|
Renier Construction is nearing completion on a 40,000 square foot Audi USA Service and Parts Center for Cascade Auto Group in Cuyahoga Falls. This project was the third for the group on this campus. Renier completed a new Audi dealership in addition to a Subaru expansion and upgrade a few years prior.
The Audi team had out grown their previous space and looked to the former Akron Agora/Boot Scoot’n Saloon as the “ideal” location for their next move.
From a neglected nightclub to brand new service center, meant it was essentially a complete gut job. Renier brought this dilapidated space to life and turned it into a state-of-the-art Audi service, parts and detail shop. The Service Center features a delivery area, retail parts boutique, both mens and womens locker areas as well as a break/conference room. Plus, the team was able to salvage the “dance floor” from the site before demo and re-purposed it as ship-lap for the walls. (If those floors, now walls, could talk!)
As you can see, the location has been transformed to what is now a beautiful Audi USA Service and Parts Center that has 26 service bays, earning the title as one of the largest Audi Service facilities in the country.

|Welcome back: Hogan Transports!|
The biggest compliment we receive are referrals and repeat business. We’re so pleased to serve Hogan Transports again for not one, but two projects!
|Hogan - Obetz Remodel and Addition|
Hogan Transports reached out to Renier regarding a property in Obetz that they had recently acquired. The space is an ideal location to serve their local customers through a new service, maintenance, training and leasing facility. In order to be a multifaceted space, upgrades are needed to the interior, exterior and utilities as well as an addition.
The project is slated to take six short months and comes in at 30,000 square feet. Renier is working to leverage the current space to provide new offices with a training room, leasing reception, service reception, service bays, body repair area and paint booth. An addition is being built to accommodate the wash bays needed.
|Hogan - Moraine Alterations and Site Improvements|
Renier is working through a second project with Hogan Transports. This site is located in Moraine, Ohio and includes an interior and exterior remodel of 12,000 square feet. Target completion date for this facility is five months.
The remodel will include adding new leasing offices, a service reception, a wash bay and employee support parking spaces. In addition to the interior and exterior remodel, the project included major site improvements that needed to be done. A few of these improvements include re-grading the existing lot, site lighting and asphalt paving that will withstand frequent, heavy loads.

|Germain Honda of Beavercreek|
Renier is currently working through an exterior image upgrade to Germain Honda of Beavercreek’s existing Honda store.
It will take Renier about four months to complete the upgrades and improvements to the 48,700 square foot space. The goal is to satisfy manufacturer facility design requirements as well as provide an upgraded customer experience. To ensure customers could still get service and the business didn’t lose operating days, Renier is working to keep the dealership in operation throughout the entire project while (literally) working at their front door.

Renier recently completed a 16,000 square foot addition for Gilson Company, Inc. in Lewis Center, Ohio. The addition included office space as well as much needed warehouse space to accommodate the growing business.
As Trent Smith, Gilson President & CEO, shared, “We’d been out of space for a number of years and business continues to grow. It was time to build. I didn’t know what to expect, or what to do first. I felt a little bit like a fish out of water and I was looking for someone who could help. I had heard about Renier from people that I trust - accountants, bankers, and attorneys. I heard their name multiple times. Renier was willing to work through challenges and was eager to take them on.”
The project took approximately 6 months to complete. Within that timeframe, Smith mentioned, “I didn’t have to make a ton of decisions – which is also great – I could focus on my business. Plus, our building was done on time and underbudget, which is fantastic.”
Renier worked with Gilson to determine if an expansion or a new build would be the most efficient use of space. Once an addition was agreed upon, Renier faced the challenge of preparing the land and ensuring stormwater was managed appropriately to ensure there weren’t future problems for the Gilson team.

|Hello Spring and a New Chili Cook-off Winner|
With Groundhog Day falling on a Sunday, the Renier team had to celebrate a day later as a group, though they still held their Annual Groundhog Day Chili Cook-Off. As of February 3rd, Blanche Bader is the 2020 Champion. She beat out four others – including two rookies. There was enough chili, cornbread, berry cobbler & ice cream to ensure the team wanted to hibernate after eating!
