As we near the close of our 40th year in business, and the end of 2020, we thought we’d reflect & share a little more about these impactful 40 years in business. It wouldn't be the same without stories from "glory days", would it? We would love to hear from you about how Renier has impacted you and your business!

Over the last 40 years, Renier Construction has built a business that continues to grow through repeat customers and word of mouth. As many of you know, we design and build owner-occupied facilities. More than 750 of them and counting, since 1980. From a sole proprietor to more than 45 employees, Renier has built facilities in over 14 states, all from its Columbus, Ohio headquarters. We have grown with you, our clients, building facilities wherever you expand in a variety of industries including automotive, office, industrial, warehouse, transportation, health services, and retail.
Since 1999, we have dedicated ourselves to the design-build approach for owner-occupied facilities. It is, quite simply, a better value than design-bid-build, and we have success stories from every client who's experienced the benefits.

With this milestone year, Renier reflects on all that has been accomplished in the last 40 years. Renier has been named one of Central Ohio's largest Veteran-Owned businesses, a Best Places to Work (repeat), Best of Business Top General Contractor (repeat), Best of Business Nominee (repeat), BBB of Central Ohio Integrity Award, General Contractor of the Year, 100% Outstanding Safety Performance and 100% Achievement Award (repeat), Butler 5-35 Million Club (repeat), Butler High-Performance Builder (repeat), Butler Million-Dollar Building (repeat) as well as a number of additional awards – one of which is a Concrete Design Award for a project we recently completed in Wisconsin.
 

Integrity is still our foundation, the blueprint that guides us through each project and process. It’s no secret that "Integrity" has themed our company culture since the beginning. The entire team believes and behaves accordingly, always doing the right thing, even when no one's watching. The Renier team looks to the next 40 years with excitement as experienced and tenured leadership, as well as key team members, carry the core value of Integrity well into the future.
 
Safety is always our priority – even before the pandemic. We pride ourselves on putting safety at the forefront of each and every project. Because we are a company built on integrity, the safety of all employees and our clients is our highest priority. Our company’s safety efforts are led by Kevin Kenney, Renier’s on-staff safety officer. Kevin spends the majority of his time on job sites ensuring that all of our employees, subcontractors, project managers, and on-site superintendents are aware of and abide by Renier’s safety guidelines. We tip our hard hats to Kevin, who has – with the team – ensured 40 years of perfect compliance and over 10 years of accident-free job sites. That’s no small feat and almost unheard of in this industry.
 
Our reputation is built on client satisfaction that transcends generations. Ensuring our clients’ needs and expectations are met is of the utmost importance. But more than that, we strive to exceed expectations with every interaction. Truly, our goal is to leave each meeting with the attendees knowing that Renier acts with the best of intentions and the desire to create another raving fan. Clients stay connected with their project through technology. Renier will be rolling out ProCore Platform for all projects, with the goal of improved efficiencies and the same great service. With this addition, we believe the opportunities for collaboration and improved communication are endless. Our clients gain access to all information about their initiative in one place and can review updates real-time! Our field team will have the ability to collaborate with our office team while traveling to, or on a job-site. We’re excited about integrating this tool and will share more as teams are onboarded.
