"Re-Newed" Germain Ford Dealership – Twice the Size, Costs Less to Operate
U.S. Ford Executives to Visit Columbus June 12th for Dedication Ceremony
Rick Germain, Germain Automotive Partnership Owner, recently announced the completion and grand opening of the $12 million redevelopment of the Germain Ford of Columbus automotive complex, located at 7250 Sawmill Road in Columbus, Ohio. Renier completed the massive, four-phased automotive construction project.
The project began in September 2012, and involved the demolition, building and expansion of the dealership.
“The new complex is stunning and expands the customer experience beyond all our expectations,” said Owner Rick Germain. “We now offer our customers nearly double the selection, our service department capabilities are extraordinary, and we have brought 20 new jobs to the community,” continued Germain.
The 75,485 sq. ft. facility includes a 15,066 sq. ft. showroom, a 9,166 sq. ft. parts department, and a 6,221 sq. ft. general office. The service department expanded to 37 service bays, six large truck service bays, and eight Quick Lane® service bays for oil changes and light repair.
Building efficiency is at an all time high. Although the dealership is twice the size, utility costs are already lower. Renier installed high-efficiency lighting throughout the dealership including LED smart technology, which can be controlled via a wireless computer system from anywhere. Electronic charging stations for hybrid models are also available.
“Renier’s understanding of all the latest technologies, made our facility more efficient,” stated Rick Germain, President of Germain Ford of Columbus.
